Chaplain's Message
What's Going On Today In Your Life?
John 3:14
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up.
John 12:32
And if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me.
It seems like everywhere you look, men are lifting up what's popular......what people want to hear. They don't want to offend people by preaching Jesus. Some even lift up the gifts more than the Giver!
Instead of saying, come all you sinners, they are naming them! We are too busy looking at the sins and not lifting up Jesus! Don't be too hard with your yard stick you are using.....it could be used on you!
Jesus had more trouble with religion's leaders, than anyone else. What has changed today? Most of the New Testament was written to the churches that has gotten away from the basics, and all the trouble it was causing. We need to re-read that again! Psalm 119:105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Wow! Don't take a chance with God....be sure to plug in to His word, the Bible, read it!
A farmer puts up a sign "God is Love" on top of his barn. One day a traveler stopped to look at the weather vane moving in the wind. He says to the farmer, "do you mean to say God is as changeable as the wind?" "No", says the farmer shaking his head....."what I mean to say is that no matter which way the wind blows, God is love".
Think......the storm that is blowing around you so badly, may be the storm that will blow you Home!
The world wants to know what you did on Sunday. God wants to know what you are doing every day for Him. Do you know him? Do you honor him? Do people see Jesus in you and your life? Are you ready to meet God? The time is set.....we know not when.....you should be ready for that meeting!
Love is the most powerful tool in the world.....God showed you that.....are you reflecting it? Do you have the coldness of religion or the warmness of a relationship with God? Knowing and applying are two different things. What will you do with what you know? Get peace with God...fire up your soul!
God's blessings on you forever!
I am here when you need me.
In Christ's love,
Your Chaplain,
